2023 Reading Challenge

At the beginning of 2023, I had a little debate with myself over how high to set my reading goal. I knew I didn't want to try to read more than I read in 2022 (155 books is a lot even for me), but I wasn't sure how much less I was going to be reading. Some people set their goals to 50 or 52 books because they're happy as long as they average one book a week. I liked that idea in theory, but since I often read 8-10 books a month, it just felt too low. I end up settling on 75 books as my goal.

January

  1. The Bone Shard War by Andrea Stewart
  2. The Grief of Stones by Katherine Addison
  3. How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories by Holly Black
  4. All Systems Red by Martha Wells
  5. The Stolen Heir by Holly Black
  6. Unplugged by Donna Freitas
  7. The Boy You Always Wanted by Michelle Quach
  8. Artificial Condition by Martha Wells
  9. City of Bones by Martha Wells
  10. Rogue Protocol by Martha Wells
  11. The Beatryce Prophecy by Kate Dicamillo
  12. Imago by Octavia Butler
  13. Exit Strategy by Martha Wells

As you can see, I reread the first for Murderbot Diaries novellas this month. I also listened to the Tantor audiobook of City of Bones. I almost DNF'd it a couple of times, but I was ultimately glad I pushed through because I like the story much more than I dislike the narrator.
